This notice explains how personal information is used when you join the Doukii Compass launch list through our website or a Facebook or Instagram lead form, or contact us about the project.

Who is responsible?

Charlotte Doukissis, the person behind Doukii Compass, based in Kapellen, Belgium, is responsible for the personal information used to manage the launch list. For privacy questions or to exercise your rights, email contact@doukiicompass.com.

What information is collected?

When you sign up, we collect your email address and, if the form asks for it, your name. Subscription information can also include the date and source of your sign-up, your consent and your subscription status. If you contact us, we receive your contact details and the information you include in your message.

The website, embedded form and their service providers may process technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and protect their services.

Why is it used?

We use the information you provide to manage your subscription and send the launch news and updates described in the form you complete. A Passenger Flight Logbook waitlist registration is used for updates about that product; it does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated marketing.

These emails are based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Signing up is voluntary. We use information in enquiries to answer your questions, based on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact the project (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Who receives the information?

We use Brevo to manage the email list and send updates. Your subscription details are transferred to Brevo for this purpose. See Brevo’s Privacy Policy for information about its services and handling of personal data.

If you use a Facebook or Instagram lead form, Meta processes the information within its platform and shares the submitted information with Doukii Compass. These leads may be transferred to Brevo through an integration or an import. Meta also processes information under its own Privacy Policy.

Providers of website hosting and email services may process technical information or messages needed to provide those services. We do not sell your personal information.

International processing

Service providers may process information outside the European Economic Area. Brevo and Meta describe the countries, legal transfer mechanisms and safeguards they use in their privacy policies linked above. You can contact us for further information about the services used for your subscription.

How long is information kept?

We keep your subscription details while they are needed for the launch updates you requested. If the launch list is discontinued, details no longer needed for that purpose will be deleted. You can unsubscribe earlier at any time.

After you unsubscribe, we stop sending marketing updates. A limited record of your opt-out and consent may be retained where necessary to respect your preference or demonstrate compliance. Enquiries are kept only for as long as needed to handle them and any related follow-up or applicable legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can withdraw your consent using the unsubscribe link in an email or by writing to contact@doukiicompass.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Under the GDPR, you may request access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. We will respond within the applicable legal time limits.

You can also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority or the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.

Website and third-party services

The site includes an embedded Brevo sign-up form and loads fonts from Google Fonts. These services receive technical information when your browser connects to them. Links to Instagram, Brevo and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy notices and settings.

This notice covers the launch list and project enquiries. Any future online purchasing service will have privacy information describing its additional processing.
